Will, Age 12

This coverage would take away added stress on our family and thousands of others. I have the means to afford insurance, but it does not help with procuring formula. Why do we pay so much for so little?? Why have choices been taken away? What happens to the less fortunate, with less education, who do not have ability to advocate for their children? Why should we have a newborn screening program of those diagnosed are left to struggle??!?

If we purchase formula through Blue cross (we pay $1900/mo in premium), they pay 50%. The markup that they charge makes formula cost $2500/month (we’d have to pay $1250). We, instead, purchase (out of pocket) directly from Abbott for around $600 a month, total. This makes no sense.
