Jackson, Sawyer, and Holland

Because of the cost of medical nutrition, we sacrifice many other things. We are blessed to have always been able to afford medical foods, but as these children get older and need to provide for themselves, it is likely they will need to choose between medical food and rent, or school tuition. This is an unacceptable choice as it leaves them either mentally impaired, or homeless, or unable to increase their earning potential. All three kids have PKU and are 11, 9, and 7.

The Medical Nutrition Equity Act will provide key support for those Americans who rely on medical foods to survive and thrive.
